Mega Project on E-Planners — Circle 4

Problem Statement: There’s a dearth of planners in printable form that have been designed in Pakistan, along with the environmental issue of excessive cutting down of trees. We will design specific, user friendly and customized digital planners that can are easily accessible and portable.

Theory of Change:

People use planners to keep track of their activities, schedule tasks, for self-accountability, to journal/write, etc. We are going through a juncture of time when everything is shifted online and we are overburdened by workload and need planners or trackers to journal our daily routine more than ever. Physical printable and diaries are difficult to carry and need more time for maintenance. Moreover digital planners already present are either expensive or are not customized according to user requirements, so we’re providing daily planners, semester planners and habit trackers for people 18–40 years of age. A customized planner is certainly an effective way to keep oneself disciplined and keep checking in oneself.

Our E-planner will be cheap, and can be accessed through different devises. Digital planners have a number of benefits:

1. Easy to rearrange plans. Tasks from one day week or month can be easily moved to the next.

2. Can easily access your plans on phone which you’ll be carrying with you anyway.

3. Now a days, most of us are working digitally (from home, etc.) on laptops, mobile phones, etc., so it only makes sense that we have our planners in a digital form as well.

4. Give opportunity to local designers to create products and launch them in the local market.

Business Model Canvas:

Initially we will start by giving free access to our Amal fellows and to friends of all the group members and ask them to use for 1 week and give feedback whether it is working fine. With reference to business point of view later we can generate from this business by selling customized E-planners.

· Key partners: Key partners will be digital marketers and social media marketers.

· Key activities: Design planners, distributing online planners, taking feedback,

· Value Proposition: Quality- and locally-made products that are portable, easily accessible, affordable, and environmental friendly.

· Customer Segment: Students, office workers, household management, freelancers.

· Revenue Stream: By providing quality product and balance finances

It has been an exciting journey to create environment friendly customized planners and surely, achieving our goals was no less than a challenge amdist Covid-19.

As per our plan to support local creatives is likely to raise local employment in Pakistan. Therefore, our planners shall be completely environmental friendly. All tasks were reasonably divided among our group members that are mentioned as following;

Progress Made So Far:

When our PM shared the activity of the Mega Project we started working on the project of E-planner and till now we prepared a semester planner that will help students in University and a habit tracker through that you can track your habits and try to improve them after evaluate them.

“What is the plan for successfully executing your project?”;

At first, we are in the beta phase as we are just testing it for now and we plan to distribute the planner and the habit tracker among our friends and fellowship fellows, after getting the feedback we’ll evaluate whether it’s a good approach to market our products or not. For now, we are quite positive regarding our products.

It’s been a very edifying experience to work with fellows it helped us to learn how to work perfectly in a team right now we are using product testing methodology, we are collecting people’s responses to our product usage, due to this pandemic, we are testing it as IHUT approach In-Home Usage Test in which consumers are using our product from their homes our friends and fellows were our targeted segment during the testing phase until now most of the results are worthwhile and constructive. Although later-on our vendors will be our partners we will develop a profitable relationship with them. A while later when it will be evident that our product has ample chances of success we will give them to our local vendor and collect them from them within a decided time frame furthermore it will be delivered to our buyers.

Plans for the Next Two Weeks:

After designing two types of planner (Semester Planner and Habit Tracker), we would be looking to design a Fellowship Planner and market it amongst our batch mates as well as fellows from other batches to use our service.

We would be designing our fellowship planner in accordance with the feedback we would receive from two already designed planner models which include semester planner and habbit tracking planner.

We would create a guide which would have directions for proper usage of these planners as well would present the importance of their usage.

Marketing will go hand in hand along with other processes in coming weeks as we would look to convince as many customers to use our services as possible.

We are currently making the graphics for our social media page Instagram and writing content. We will be launching our page by 24th January, 2021.
